The project involved the preparation and finishing of all AFS concrete panels, conventional concrete and blockwork using the complete Dulux Acratex façade system, providing a high-performance architectural finish designed for long-term durability and weather protection.
Working closely with Thomas Building and Dulux technical representatives, our team ensured every substrate was prepared to specification before the installation of the complete coating system.
Scope of Works
- Surface preparation to all AFS concrete, concrete and blockwork substrates.
- Supply and installation of the complete Dulux Acratex façade system.
- Dulux RenderWall system to level and prepare substrates where required.
- Dulux Acratex Primer applied to all prepared surfaces.
- Dulux texture coating system to nominated areas.
- Two coats of Dulux Acrashield protective coating to complete the façade system.
- Dulux Acraskin WP waterproofing system applied to ledges and horizontal surfaces to enhance waterproofing performance and provide additional long-term protection.
- Detailed patching and remedial works to ensure all surfaces achieved the required finish prior to coating.
Project Highlights
The Gardens, Nedlands required a façade system capable of delivering both premium aesthetics and long-term durability. Particular attention was given to waterproofing vulnerable horizontal surfaces, with the Dulux Acraskin WP system installed to ledges before the application of the final decorative coatings.
The completed façade provides excellent resistance to weathering while delivering a consistent architectural finish across the AFS concrete, concrete and masonry substrates.
